"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"
Leonardo da Vinci
I was born in the 1960's and lived my youthful days in the 70's and 80's. Those days of my life and the world I've seen, were simple.
Could it be that I grew up in a very simple family and not like the others who were born with sophistication and wellness in life. I knew that difference very well.
But when it comes to the 21st century, where information and technology spread at the speed of light, the abundant array of all sorts of innovation when it comes to designing our lives and careers, it's never simple again. No. Not the way I've known the world during my childhood days.
But let's face it. We have a lot to be thankful about these changes. The advancement of technology also applied to medicine and medical services, education, transportation, banking transactions, online businesses, housing convenience, social media, communication and almost anything in life - internet connection has become a significant part in the 21st century.
Because nothing is perfect, the sad fact is, things would always have the bad side. No matter how advanced our lives would be, still we will experience some negative results one way or the other.
What am I pointing about?
Point is, may we not be accustomed into deeply desiring too much in buying almost the latest versions of technology just to convince ourselves that we are aligned in these advancement. To show that life's status is to be in line with the modern and sophisticated way of life.
Keep things sweet. Be thankful and grateful that you're a part of these innovation. Simplify your lifestyle by focusing on what you need only. At home and at work, you have internet access, a computer and phone, then you're not globally behind the edge.
Run your business with simplified methods and rules. Before shopping, a prepared list of needed groceries is important. Don't complicate your mind with the new array of products, although you can try one. But mind your budgeting, time and energy in doing a task.
You're still the one who is in control of your life, not the things around you.
Have a nice day!
Love,
