White Lies, anyone?

"But little white lies here and there is human nature. Everybody does that"

It's obviously and truth to be told that white lies are everywhere. If you will base your life in the road of righteousness and what the bible says about lying, you would say lies are lies be it black or white. I even challenged myself not to tell a single lie for thirty days. Not that am lying a lot, I call it a natural pull to save one part of myself when a situation arise. No, it's to save me not to hurt people.

So everyone tells a white lie on occasion, it's just a question of why? Some white lies save a relationship, some ease a hectic situation, and others buy us time. We all do it and there's no reason to deny it. As long as we're not hurting people or breaking a law, these innocent lies make things better at the end of the day.
The table will be ready in 5 minutes! - because it sounds a lot better than saying 15 minutes.

Thank you so much. I just love it! - because saying that the gift sucks would make you look an insensitive jerk.

I thought I already sent that email out. I'm sure I did! - because saying it's not your priority that day and you forgot, might hurt your relationship.

Oh yeah! that makes sense! - because admitting you're clueless would make you look you're not really paying attention.

I'll start working on that ASAP! - because telling you have 10 other things to do first would irritate your boss.

Yeah! you look great in that dress. - because you don't want to be slapped!

It wasn't me! - because some things are not worth taking credit for.

I'd love to talk more with you but I have an early appointment tomorrow. I'll see you again!  - because you're a gentleman so you don't want to hurt her feeling by saying "you're not my type".

I will call you for confirmation. - because some employers won't tell that personality is always a plus factor even if you're qualified.

I'm not ready for a serious relationship! - because it would save his ass by not telling "you're not the one I'm looking for".

Most of these white lies only stretch an interpretation of what the truth actually is. White lies simply cushion us from ourselves.

Be careful though, they boomerang too.
