I have always admired places and homes decorated with plants. Sometimes, just by looking at some photos that show images of marvelous interior designing with plants, gives a therapeutic feeling to me.

Choosing a plant for interior decorating is a bit difficult but there are plenty to choose from. You can place your potted plants in  corners or areas of the house where you think they can fit beautifully.

1. Living room
Generally speaking, plants in the living room are mostly placed in the corners for big plants. The center should always have more space to move around anytime. You may use a smaller potted plant for the center table.

2. Extended spaces
If you have a library, other living room, home office that extends to the terrace or any other spacious areas in your big house. Plants are perfect in these areas to fill in more life. Their green color is just the magic of nature.

3. Bedroom
Bedroom is the sweetest place of relaxation. Where you throw yourself for the day's tiring work. This is the most important area of your home (Feng Shui). There are many benefits in making your bedroom an arena of beauty and tranquility.

Just place a pot of big plant by the window corner or if you choose smaller potted plants, would also be great. Find a perfect place for your chosen plants.

4. Kitchen
Your kitchen is the busiest place especially if you're the "kitchen queen". Some people love this place and put so much energy from morning until night time. So to add more life, add some small potted plants and place them on the shelves, or in between spaces where you don't wash, cut, chop or bake. These plants serve as decorative materials to make your kitchen looks soothing and relaxing, especially during dinner time.

5. Bathroom
Either you place your plant on the shelf or by the bathroom door outside is unique. I love those cute plants that grow downwards and give a hanging tail. A plant in your bathroom is another sweet style to refresh pollutants.

6. Terrace
It is very welcoming when friends visit and they see beautifully arranged plants in your terrace. This is the best place where you can design all your plants, be they hanging, potted or in vases. Sweet relaxation is achieved when you see all your healthy greens around you while you're having a snack, reading your book or browsing the net. A simple place to see the world outside your home.

Bottomline
Interior decorating or designing needs focus, relevance and types of objects used. Consider the size, lighting, ventilation of your house because ornamental plants need to receive at least an average amount of light and water.

If you use fresh flowers, their life is much shorter. However, you can add a half-paracetamol tablet in the water to give your flowers a longer life.

Your ornamental plants must be placed outside at least 48 hours to receive sunlight, carbon dioxide, rainwater (if it's rainy) and check your soil if no insects are nesting in them.

Have a sweet home!
